Surge is a 3 piece prog/classic rock ensemble featuring Rowan McAuliffe on guitar/bass, Ellis Scott on drums, and Rowan McKenney on bass/vocals. The unique sound comes from Rowan's technical yet expressive guitar playing melded with Ellis's explosive intuitive drum lines and Rowan’s hard-hitting vocals and bass.

Rowan
Rowan has been playing guitar since age eight, starting with lessons at MAMM. While he's played with a smattering of different MAMM bands, he's really found his calling alongside his Surge bandmates and their willingness to "turn it up to eleven". His tastes revolve most around whatever is loud, fast, and fun to play.
Ellis
Ellis Scott is a drummer from Gorham Maine. Ellis has been playing on the drum kit for 6 years and is 12 years old. Ellis's favorite bands included Rush, Alestorm, Dream theater, and The Melvins. His favorite music genres are mostly Prog rock and metal.
ROWAN
Rowan lives in Portland, Maine. He plays guitar, bass, and harp. Rowan started playing at age 9, and he did his first MAMM program at age 11. His favorite genres include: rock, heavy metal, thrash, and punk. Things he enjoys are: origami, tennis, manga, and playing bass guitar. One of Rowan's favorite musicians is Cliff Burton.
Sebastian
Sebastian is guitarist from Yarmouth Maine. He joined Surge in summer 2022 and has been enjoying it ever since. He also plays the drums, piano, and sings. He enjoys history, writing and biking. His favorite bands include The Beatles, Rush, Nirvana, Bob Dylan and The Who. He is very grateful for this opportunity.
