THE BURNURWURBSKEK SINGERS
International Music Stage
Comprised of men representing many of Maine’s Wabanaki people, the members of the Burnurwurbskek Singers have been drumming together for almost 25 years. They perform traditional northeast woodland songs that date back to time immemorial, as well as more contemporary, intertribal songs. These songs have been passed down in their rich oral tradition from generation to generation - from fathers, grandfathers and uncles to brothers, cousins and sons. The Singers have performed at many national events for Native American organizations and at smaller regional gatherings up and down the US East Coast and Canada. The Burnurwurbskek Singers are honored to continue to share their traditional music with Indian Country.
Coyote Island
Rock Stage
Coyote Island is the musical vision of producer/songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Mike O’Hehir. For many years Mike travelled the country with guitar in hand collecting sounds and ideas. It was during these travels that Mike cut his teeth as a seasoned performer and story teller. Upon returning home to Maine, he began the process of pouring his heart into his recordings. With roots in folk music, the sound quickly expanded into a new genre-bending realm of psychedelic indie. Mike assembled a band of brothers in order to capture the expansive soundscape in a live setting. From this, Coyote Island was born. With the release of their first hit single “Here Before”, the band quickly gained fans around the globe. Their live performance has been called both “electric” and “transportive”. With good vibrations, dancey grooves, and tropical psychedelia, Coyote Island offers you a sonic vacation from the doldrums of existence.

“There's no voice quite like Dave Gutter's, a weathered coffee-and-cigarettes growl that can turn vulnerable to vicious and crackles like a vintage Fender amp when he screams.” -Rolling Stone Magazine
Dove Pax
MAMM Stage
Portland, ME based indie rock band DOVE PAX began when a singer/songwriter from Paris, France and a guitarist/philosopher from the U.S. happened to meet in Shanghai, China; to become collaborators, best friends, spouses, and parents; all the while, writing songs about peace, in these times of great global crisis.
“Watching the rise of environmental and social conflict, we feel responsible for using our music to be a vehicle for inspiring positive change”. – Ryan Richards
OUR MUSIC is dynamic and nuanced guitar-driven rock, led by powerful vocal performances of intricate, yet memorable melodies. Inspired by the harmonies of French impressionist composers, the long-form epics of classic rock bands, and the layered rhythmic textures of African music, wife and husband team Jessica and Ryan Richards craft hypnotic songs that energize and inspire listeners.
OUR MESSAGE is centered on a basic assumption: Collective peace depends on individuals learning to find balance in how they think, feel, and behave. Ryan and Jessica’s lyrics use symbolic language to summarize lessons learned in their struggles with life’s ups and downs. Throughout history, as in stories told of doves spreading seeds of peace, DOVE PAX weaves meaningful messages of hope and understanding into dynamic sonic landscapes.
“We want our music to inspire expansive emotions, positively affected by the creative perspectives and feelings we write about, for dealing with universal challenges in all our lives.” - Jessica Richards
