Education: Josie graduated from the Osher School of Music at the University of Southern Maine and holds a degree in Vocal Performance with a concentration in Jazz Studies. She’s been fortunate to study with great instructors like Amanda Roswick, Taylor O’Donnell, Dr. Charlie Christenson, and DMA candidate Mary Johnston Letellier.
Bands I’m In: Josie and the Big Blue Worm, solo projects, and various jazz groups.
Coolest Musical Experience: Recording my original music with fantastic musicians who are dear friends of mine. Love is abundant!

Josie has a soft spot for songs that tell a good story. An active singer in the greater Portland area, she shares her love of storytelling with music that spans genres. Her musical mothers are Erykah Badu, Joni Mitchell, Astrud Gilberto, Regina Spektor, and Adrianne Lenker.
