Julia
I am Julia, and I am 10 years old. I go to Wentworth School in Scarborough, ME, and I play the bass and sing. I started by playing the drums when I was 7 years old, and that summer I went to MAMM camp for the first time. Some of my favorite bands/artists are Def Leppard, Dua Lipa, and Queen. My favorite quote about music is “Music is an outburst of the soul.” -Frederick Delius. Another thing I enjoy is making art. One of the songs I produced was selected by Hit Like A Girl for feedback by two people, which was streamed live on Twitch! I fixed up the song with their advice, and submitted it recently for a competition!
Maisy
My name is Maisy and I am 10 years old and I attend Fiddlehead School of Arts and Sciences. My favorite artists are Taylor Swift, Billie Eilish, and Shawn Mendes. One of my favorite song lyrics is “My soul is painted like butterflies. Fairy tales of yesterday will grow but never die” ~ The show must go on - Queen. I started at MAMM when I was 8 years old, and my favorite instruments to play are piano and bass. I started taking bass lessons when I had just turned 7 years old. I love to sing, dance, draw, and read. I also love to write music and songs as well as produce them myself. I love to play music with my band and I always want to do something with music at any point in my life.
Evie
Evie is from Scarborough, ME. She is 10 years old. She started playing at MAMM at 7 years old. She loves all types of music. She plays the synth, tambourine and drums. Her favorite band is Train. She and her dad loved to listen to Train music! Evie’s favorite quote is “Music and rhythm find their way into the secret places of the soul”. She loves to kayak, golf, LOVES to dance, and also loves to play softball with her friends. Evie got first place in her dance category for her solo. She always has a blast playing at MAMM with her friends!
