Emerging Science (formerly Melted Monkey Butter) is from Hermon, Maine. We have deep roots in 90's grunge bands like Smashing Pumpkins, Soundgarden, and Alice In Chains. With these influences, we like to write songs that reflect our heroes but that sound new and unique.

I'm Alex from Hermon, Maine. I've been playing guitar since I was 10 years old, and I've been playing at MAMM since I was 13. I also play the flute. Alternative Rock is my favorite genre. My favorite songs are "Drown" by The Smashing Pumpkins and "Holiday" by Weezer. My favorite band is the Beatles, and my favorite Beatles song is "The Long and Winding Road."
