Alex Ouellette is a young musician from Fryeburg, Maine who is well-known throughout the Southern Maine jazz scene and has performed many gigs in the northern New England area. Musically, Alex has devoted most of his time playing drums and percussion within various jazz, rock, and folk situations. During his early years as a musician he studied under drummers Kevin Norton and Steve Grover, who both turned out to be major influences in his musical upbringing.

Having graduated in 2020, Alex has earned a bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance from the University of Southern Maine. At USM he studied under drummer Les Harris Jr. and percussionist Nancy Smith.
